PALM HARBOR, FLORIDA

Most affordable tournament golf,
without the barrier to entry.

Most amateurs never play a scored, sanctioned round. Entry fees are high, tee times are hard to get, and the handicap systems that are supposed to level the field are easy to game. Hero Golf Tour was built to fix all three.

You play your own ball for eighteen holes. Another player in your group keeps your card and signs it, and you keep theirs. Your score is adjusted against a handicap you earn with us, not one you declare. Twenty-five dollars gets you in the field.

Play every week. Chase the season.

Every round you play adds to your standing. Points and coins accumulate toward the season purse, with $25,000 at the top of it. The players who show up week after week are the ones who get there.

Veterans play free. Always.

Hero Golf Tour exists because of the veteran community, and veterans play every tour round at no charge. Same card, same scoring, same standing in the field. Register the same way and select veteran entry at checkout.

How it works

1. Register
Choose the day you want. Enter the handicap you believe is accurate and tell us whether it is an official index or your own estimate. We'll confirm your tee time by email.

2. Check in and get your card
Check in at the Pro-Shop first, then come to the Hero Golf booth and get your scorecard, your marker assignment, and the fast play rules.

3. Play your round
Individual stroke play at any tee time. A fellow player keeps your score and signs the card. Turn it in at the scoring table within fifteen minutes of finishing.

4. Watch the leaderboard
Standings are posted the same evening. Points and coins are credited to your account as you go.

Earning your handicap

Anyone can walk into a pro shop, enter scores nobody witnessed, and come out with a handicap that has no relationship to how they actually play. Those players win tournaments they had no business winning.

That does not happen here.

Every score in the Hero Golf Tour system comes off a card kept and signed by another player. After four tour rounds, we issue your official HGT handicap built from attested scores only. You earn points and coins from your very first round. They are held until your handicap is calibrated, then applied back to round one. Nothing is lost, and nobody sandbags the field.
